District Schools Receive Positive Behavior Support Awards

This process is designed to improve student behavior, maximize instructional time and increase student engagement.

Union Chapel Elementary received the Gold Recognition Award of Excellence for the fifth year in a row. Chinn Elementary received the Gold Recognition Award of Excellence for the first time. Hopewell Elementary earned the Silver Recognition Award of Excellence, and Line Creek Elementary earned the Bronze Recognition Award of Excellence. 
 
Staff members use engaging lessons to teach expectations, use small symbolic rewards to connect good behavior to success, organize groups to build social skills, and use feedback to improve the process.
