Park Hill School District Student Earns Spot at Girls Nation
This is the image for the news article titled Park Hill School District Student Earns Spot at Girls Nation Park Hill South High School student Sally Green is one of only 100 students from across the nation to earn a spot at the American Legion Auxiliary (ALA) Girls Nation. 

Green spent a week at Missouri Girls State through the American Legion, where she served as a journalist for the Girls State Gazette and as the chairwoman for one of the two political parties represented at Girls State. 

She heads to Washington, D.C. as an ALA Girls Nation senator in late July. While there, she will present legislation she created at Girls State to Senators Roy Blunt and Josh Hawley. Green will also have the opportunity to meet President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. 

ALA Girls Nation gives participants insight into how the federal government works. 

We had 14 students from across the Park Hill School District who earned spots in the Missouri Boys and Girls State programs.
