Park Hill South High School Robotics Student Earns Honor
This is the image for the news article titled Park Hill South High School Robotics Student Earns HonorBrian Francis, junior at Park Hill South High School, received 2018 Dean’s List Finalist honors at the Colorado Regional FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition.

Francis was one of two finalists out of 104 students. This recognition is the highest individual honor a student can earn in FIRST Robotics. Francis qualified to travel to Houston, Texas to compete for the Dean’s List Winner award and to serve as a student ambassador. Dean Kamen, the inventor of the Segway and founder of the FIRST program, sponsors the award.

Francis belongs to Park Hill South’s FRC Team 5126, the Electromagnetic Panthers (EMP). Daniel Henson is the team’s coach, and Jennifer Schoenfeldt is the assistant coach.
