This is the image for the news article titled Six District Schools Receive Food Safety AwardsSix of our schools received the Grade A Food Safety Excellence Awards for 2018 from the Kansas City, Missouri Health Department.

Only 274 locations of the city’s 3,900 permitted food establishments received this award this year for substantially exceeding the standards of the food code. Full-scale restaurants, fast-food establishments, school cafeterias, hospitals and nursing homes, bakeries, convenience stores and grocery stores can receive this honor.

These school cafés have continuously demonstrated excellence in sanitation, food safety, employee education and compliance with the city’s food code and other public health standards.
