District Community Group Receives Anti-Drug Grant

The Park Hill Community Alliance for Youth received a $125,000-per-year grant that is renewable for up to 10 years. The money will help community prevention efforts, including reducing students’ nicotine and alcohol use. The Office of National Drug Control Policy and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration provided the grant.

Park Hill CAFY provides successful prevention programming, with the support of Tri-County Mental Health Services and the Platte County Health Department. The coalition, which is registered with the Division of Behavioral Health, coordinates efforts with the Northland Coalition, covering Clay, Platte and Ray counties.
