Gary Price, who announces soccer games in the Park Hill School District, received the Champion of the Game Award from the Missouri High School Soccer Coaches Association. This award is new this year and recognizes people, other than coaches or players, who go out of their way to promote soccer.

In 1979, Price and friends proposed that Park Hill recognize soccer in their athletic program. By 1980, soccer was a Park Hill varsity sport. In 1989, Price became Park Hill High School's soccer announcer. When Park Hill South High School opened in 1998, Price began announcing for both soccer programs.

Since Price started announcing games more than 30 years ago, he has only missed two games, and those were due to treatment for cancer. Price cares so deeply about soccer and we are so lucky to have him in our district.
