Broadcast Challenge Honors 2020

District Journalism Students Earn State Honors
This is the image for the news article titled District Journalism Students Earn State HonorsBroadcast journalism students from Park Hill and Park Hill South high schools earned statewide recognition in the Broadcast Challenge through the Missouri Interscholastic Press Association.

The teams based their stories on the competition’s theme, “Tradition.”

Justin Ford is the broadcast journalism teacher at both high schools.

Park Hill High School

Rylie Estes, Logan Mitchell and Shelby Fletcher earned first place for their story on the College Basketball Experience facility and the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame.

Alicia Stout and Salome Yimer earned third place for their story on a Park Hill family, the Andonovskis. 

Park Hill South

Mary Garrett and Aidan Nolte earned an honorable mention for their story on the Kansas City Turkey Trot.
