Three Park Hill School District students attended Missouri Girls State this year, including seniors Madi Loescher (left) and Alicia Buehler (center) from Park Hill South High School and senior Izzy Wussow (right) from Park Hill High School. 

South senior Madi Loescher is the Missouri Girls State Governor and Park Hill High School senior Izzy Wussow is the Missouri Girls State Lieutenant Governor for the 2015-2016 school year. The 830 Girls State participants elected the students during the 74th session of Missouri Girls State at the University of Central Missouri. 

As governor, Loescher earned a $1,000 scholarship, and she will preside over the 75th session of Girls State next summer, speak throughout the year and represent Girls State at the American Legion Auxiliary’s Department of Missouri Summer Convention.

High school guidance counselors select students to participate in the Missouri Girls State program.
