Park Hill South High School’s student council received the Missouri Association of Student Councils Gold Award.
The Park Hill South student council received the award for its involvement at the local and state level, including school service, spirit, community service, student recognition, teacher recognition and leadership training activities. This is the second year in a row that South’s StuCo received the award.
Park Hill South teacher and StuCo advisor Sarah Adkins is the Region VI National Association of Student Councils 2015 Advisor of the Year for the second year in a row. She is now a finalist for the National Advisor of the Year award. Region VI oversees Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Arkansas, Arizona and New Mexico. Adkins and several South StuCo students will travel to the national convention in New Mexico this summer, where NASC will announce the Warren E. Shull National Advisor of the Year.
