Six high-school DECA students were recognized at the State Career Development Conference, and four qualified to attend the International Career Development Conference in April in Anaheim, California. Only about 5 percent of all DECA members in the world get the opportunity to complete at the international level.

The DECA teacher for Park Hill High School is Matt Magnuson, and Dan Dunkin is the DECA teacher at Park Hill South.
DECA is a vocational student organization for all students enrolled in a marketing class. Students participate in leadership development, civic activities and vocational understanding. Students have the opportunity to compete in all areas of marketing in order to qualify to travel to the International CDC.
